1. The Conference
The 4th "Thin-Film Industry Forum" on 19th and 20th April 2012 in Berlin will look at all the issues around thin-film technology - from the political environment, through international market development, finance and marketing, to sales, production capacity, availability of materials, quality assurance and recycling.
The Thin-Film Industry Forum will form a key event that will bring the players of the solar industry together with representatives from politics, the financial world, the press and the industry's suppliers. 300 participants from all over the world will be expected.
The forum coincides with the "4th Photovoltaics Thin-Film Week" - the only week in the world that will be dedicated exclusively to thin-film photovoltaics.
In April 2011, the 3rd Thin-Film Week in Adlershof was a huge success with about 600 attendees from research, industry, politics, financing and business development who discussed the latest developments in thin-film photovoltaics.
Once again, an entire week will be dedicated exclusively to thin-film photovoltaics, combining scientific and technological workshops with a practice-oriented industry forum.
The "PV Thin-Film Week" is being held as a joint event organized by Solarpraxis, the Helmholtz Center in Berlin and the Center of Excellence for Thin-Film and Nanotechnology for Photovoltaics (PVcomB).
2. Topics
• The political climate
• Markets and market growth expectations
• Overview of technologies, potentials and costs
• Financing and bankability
• Quality assurance

• Production matters
• Round-up of German and international producing thin-film companies
3. Target groups
